Installing eUTV on Amazon Firestick

So the very first thing we need to do is jailbreak your Firestick. The reason why we need to perform this step is simple. Jailbreaking a Firestick allows you to get access to the eUTV streaming app, since it’s not already installed on the stick. The Firestick’s jailbreak involves the installation of third-party applications and services that are not included in the Amazon App Store. And thankfully, it is such an easy process, anyone can do it without having any technical knowledge, just follow the steps below.

Now for the $100,000 dollar question. Is it safe and legal? Absolutely! It is safe and legal because it does not involve making any changes to the system files of the operating system of your device. It is not like hacking an Android mobile or jailbreaking iOS. You own the device, and you are free to do whatever you like with it. You are simply downloading (or sideloading) apps that do not come preloaded on your Firestick, which are already used by millions. And it doesn’t even void the warranty of your device. In fact, Amazon itself allows you to sideload such apps.

The app from which we will install all our jailbreak apps is called Downloader and this is used to sideload apps not present on your Firestick, since you can’t download the eUTV APK directly from a browser. Sideloading just means that the app is not present in the Amazon Store.

Let’s get to it …

1. From the Firestick home-screen, click Find in the middle bar. (see image below)

Note: If you are still using an older version Firestick, select the lens icon in the top-left corner.

2. Now click Search.

3. Start typing in download and the Downloader app will appear below. Select it in the search results and then click on Get or Download to install it on your device.

4. Click the Downloader icon on the next screen

5. Choose Download (or Get) on the window that appears next

6. Wait for the Downloader app to download and then install.

Click Open to launch the Downloader app.

Note: this is where we will come back to download the eUTV app, but for now just close this window and return to the home page of your firestick. Time to jailbreak your Firestick, yee haw!

Now click Settings (the gear icon) on the far right of the home screen.

Note: If you are still using the old version of Firestick, select the Settings tab at the top-right.

7. Click My Fire TV.

8. Next, choose Developer options. Important: if you do not see Developer options on this screen, click the round button on your firestick remote quickly 7 times. You should see a notification at the bottom saying no need, you are already a developer.

 

9. First, switch ON the option ADB Debugging

10. Next, click Install unknown apps.

Note: If you are still using the old version of Firestick, click Apps from Unknown Sources and turn it ON. You can skip to step 11 below.

11. Turn ON the option for Downloader.

Your Firestick is now ready, congratulations! Now you can tell all your friends you know how to jailbreak a Firestick.

Now, press the back button on the Amazon Fire TV remote. It will take you back to the Settings window. Let’s change a few settings in your Firestick that will help with your privacy.

1. Open the Preferences box.

2. Open Privacy Settings

3. Turn OFF the following options to stop sharing the usage data after you jailbreak Fire Stick in the Privacy Settings

• Device Usage Data

• Collect App Usage Data

4. Press the back button one time. You should now be back to the Preferences window

5. Click Data Monitoring

6. Now, turn OFF Data Monitoring on the next screen.

7. Now, let’s go get the eUTV app. Open the Downloader app. You will notice that it launches with the Home tab selected by default. Navigate to the URL field and click on it. 

Note: Can’t locate the Downloader app? The easiest way of finding all the apps installed on your Amazon Fire TV Stick is to long press the center button. Then just wait to see all the installed apps displayed on your TV. Alternatively, you can go to “Settings” and then navigate to “Applications.”

The window that pops up allows you to enter the source URL of the APK using the on-screen keyboard. 

8. Enter https://streameutv.com/eutv-app-download to download the APK file for eUTV and click GO. 

The next window will display Downloader connecting to the server. The window after that will show it downloading the eUTV APK file onto your Firestick device. Notice: Do not worry if the size of your file is different from the one you see on this screen. Let the download complete.

The installation will initiate on its own. 

9. On the following screen, use your remote’s navigation keys to select the NEXT button at the bottom right (ignore this part if you don’t see NEXT). The NEXT button will be replaced by INSTALL. Click the INSTALL button.

Note: the eUTV logo in the top left may be different than what’s shown here.

Your Firestick will begin to install the eUTV app from the APK file you just downloaded. Give the process a couple of minutes.

10. When your Firestick has finally installed the eUTV app, you will be notified with the following window. here you have the option of either clicking on done or opening the app. We highly recommend clicking DONE to complete the remaining steps.

11. Clicking DONE in the previous step will take you back to the Downloader app, where you will see the following prompt. Highlight Delete using your remote and click it. We want to delete the eUTV APK from Firestick because the file is of no use after the app installation is complete. Erasing the file will save you some space in your Firestick’s storage.

12. Click Delete another time to finally delete the eUTV APK file.

Great, you have successfully installed the eUTV APK on your Firestick.

You can now open and start using the app. 

Note: all our channels are located under the Live TV icon. The other two icons (movies and series) are for saving favorites you have picked to saved. 

We would like to suggest that before you start using eUTV, click on the “Install EPG Guide” button to install the Electronic Programming Guide or EPG for short.

You will see it install the guide.

That will take you to the EPG Categories Channels.

There you go, remember your esc key or back button is you best friend when you need to back out of wherever you are or if you get lost.
